According to an autopsy report, high profile fatal arrest victim George Floyd did not pass away as a direct result of asphyxiation as it was revealed that the suspected fraudster suffered from preexisting medical conditions.

The brutal police arrest–which shows a Minneapolis officer restrain a suspect by kneeling on his neck for several minutes, with footage showing Floyd being unresponsive for more than a third of the footage, ultimately leading to the suspect’s demise–has sparked a series of riots in the twin city, razing parts of the city to the ground.

In a tweet from the Star Tribune, the autopsy report found that Floyd did not die as a direct result of asphyxiation. They write: “The criminal complaint against Chauvin, citing the autopsy, pointed out that #GeorgeFloyd did not die from strangulation but a combination of being restrained along with various underlying medical conditions including heart disease and hypertension.”

According to The Washington Times, preliminary findings from a Tuesday autopsy report from Hennepin County Medical Examiner concluded that there were “no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxiation or strangulation.”

“Police are trained that this type of restraint with a subject in a prone position is inherently dangerous,” a complaint against disgraced officer Derek Chauvin, who has been hit with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter charges, making him the first white officer in Minnesota to prosecuted for the death of a black civilian.

Protests around the states have also been reported as many demonstrate against police brutality and racism.

Commenters on social media were not best pleased at the findings, looking past the victim’s medical conditions and focusing on the officer’s unnecessary arrest.

“Oh this is a bad one. WTF, the cops KNEE was on his f***ng neck. Who cares about his pre-existing conditions!” tweeted one account.

A second wrote: “Doesn’t that just mean his hyoid wasn’t broken? Clearly his airway was blocked.”

A third chimed in with: “Can we please have someone sit on Derek Chauvin in the same manner for a full 9 minutes, film it? Let us see if there is traumatic findings after? If they are confident it was no big deal, this should be easy enough to replicate, rule out?”
