A California man was back in jail just 40 minutes after he was sprung due to special COVID-19 procedures, according to several reports.

“At 7:50 a.m. Sunday, Oakland police arrested a 32-year-old man identified as Rocky Music on suspicion of car theft, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said Monday,” according to The East Bay Times.

The alleged crime was committed just 12 hours after Music was arrested for another alleged car theft. After he was processed at the Santa Rita Jail, he was released on a special COVID-19 “zero bail” court order, a policy implemented to keep suspects out of jail so they can’t spread the deadly virus inside.

But less than an hour after his release, he was picked up again.

“After leaving Santa Rita Jail at 7:23 p.m. Sunday, Music walked to the Dublin BART station and allegedly carjacked a driver, taking the vehicle and drove to San Ramon,” according to the report. “Music then tried to carjack another driver at a gas station in The Marketplace at San Ramon, but police intervened. He then fled down the Iron Horse Trail; officers in pursuit released a Dublin police K-9. Music allegedly kicked the dog before he was taken into custody.”

He was officially charged with misdemeanor obstruction of a public officer and two felonies: carjacking and harm to a police officer’s dog.

The state appears to have learned its lesson after Music’s second arrest, and he’s being held in jail on a $100,000 bond.

Music’s crime spree occurred while California’s statewide “stay-at-home” order was in effect, meaning that while law-abiding citizens are required to stay in the house, alleged criminals are being released back into the streets.

This week, California implemented a measure that will suspend the First Amendment rights of its citizens, and stop them from protesting the draconian anti-COVID measures.

National File reported Wednesday that the California Highway Patrol will not issue permits for groups to protest Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom’s COVID orders until further notice.
