A man who was shot in Seattle’s autonomous CHOP zone in a shooting that saw one man dead now blames “The Proud Boys or KKK” for the shooting and now claims that his injuries were sustained in a racially motivated attack.

DeJuan Young, 33, was shot five times in a double shooting that claimed the life of a 19-year-old man, leaving Young in critical condition, and three others wounded.

Young, who criticized police and hinted at legal action for failing to get to the scene quick enough, despite being repelled by an angry anti-police mob around a cop-free zone, has now made the claim that the attack might have been a “hate crime.”

“So basically I was shot by, I’m not sure if they’re ‘Proud Boys’ or KKK,” Young told KIRO7. “But the verbiage that they said was ‘hold this N—–’ and shot me.”

He later tells how the force of the rounds pushed him back onto a car.

“And they stood over top of me and continued to fire,” he added. “I tried to protect myself and got shot in the arm.  And they got away.”

Young maintains that he was shot several times at close range in the attack.

In an effort to add weight to his complaint that they police failed to respond in time, Young stressed that he was outside of the cop-free autonomous zone, insisting that the authorities failed to uphold their duty to protect him.

He said, “I understand everybody’s going to say, ‘Oh, it was the CHAZ zone and ya’ll asked for the police not to be there, so don’t act like ya’ll need them now.”

“But technically I was outside that area, I was in Seattle streets. So what’s the excuse now?”

Young posted a short clip seeking for help after suffering life-threatening gunshot wounds. National File reported:

The surviving man now wishes to sue the Seattle Police Department for not responding fast enough after he was shot.

In his hospital bed, the man began by explaining, “I was shot in Seattle, in CHAZ, on Friday. The cops left me out there to die.”

He continued, “I somebody in legal or the media to get my story told, and get it out there. I got shot five times–I need you guys’ help.”

Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best claimed that days after the establishment of the cop-free anarchist commune 911 reports for rape and violent crime more than tripled as police were unable to restore order.
