Infamous YouTuber Jake Paul has been hit with two misdemeanor charges after being filmed among looters at a mall in Scottsdale, Arizona.

According to a news release issued to Buzzfeed by the Scottsdale Police Department, Paul, 23, is facing two misdemeanor charges: criminal trespass and unlawful assembly.

On Saturday, several tweets went viral condemning Paul’s sighting at the closed Scottsdale Fashion Square mall.

Although he was reportedly present at the looting, he was not seen actually partaking in the looting himself.

Paul, whose estimated worth is around $19 million USD, provoked social media pundits for his being at the looting inside Fashion Square in Scottsdale, Arizona, given his wealth.

Moreover, his presence among the other looters enraged witnesses as other people protesting across the country were facing rubber bullets, teargas, and other riot-dispersing weapons.

Although Paul was not caught taking any products, his presence in a closed mall among other looters raised eyebrows.

One angry tweeter wrote: “i repeat F*** JAKE PAUL he’s a millionaire looting while people are outside protesting, getting shot with rubber bullets, teargas, beat by cops etc.”

Another person tweeted: “F*** JAKE PAUL he’s at fashion square looting while people are protesting n being teargassed downtown.”

A third account tweeted: “Jake Paul has a 19 million dollar net worth and a giant platform consisting of mainly kids, and he’s out here looting whilst others get teargassed and beat? F*** off, he really isn’t s***.”

A commenter angrily posted:

IMAGINE BEING THIS IGNORANT. THE BLM PROTESTS ARE NOT GATEWAYS FOR CONTENT & YOUTUBE VIDEOS. JAKE PAUL MAKES ME SICK TO MY STOMACH BC OF HOW MUCH IGNORANCE & WHITE PRIVILEGE HE RADIATES. PEOPLE ARE GETTING SERIOUSLY HARMED & HE IS LOOTING FOR FUN & CONTENT. HE IS DISGUSTING.

Celebrities who pledged funds for those in legal trouble over the protests were mocked after Minnesota official spun a white supremacist narrative around those responsible for much of the damage sustained in the Twin Cities.

Moreover, political agitation group Antifa was to be designated as a terrorist group by US President Donald Trump following their active participation in the riots.

Major U.S. cities are braced for more rounds of rioting and looting as Black Lives Matter protests go international.
