A viral video on social media showed an expletive-laden exchange between an apartment owner and UK police officers who broke down his apartment door over a report of disturbances coming from his home.

The enraged man hurls multiple insults as he films the expletive-laden video, admonishing the police officers who had broken down his door after he had refused to allow them in.

The police, who weren’t wearing any protective gear, enter the premises after they believed the man to be holding a party, flouting social distancing rules.

As the scene unfurls, the leading officer puts on her gloves as the man insinuates they may be carrying the coronavirus. The rest of the officers failed to wear face masks as they carried out their search.

The video has further pried open a running question concerning government overreach during the supposedly lockdown.

Various reports have surfaced, citing an abuse of power at the hands of the authorities, who are desperately trying to contain the spread of the Covid-19.

In a Twitter posted titled, “Police smash residents door in to see if there was Party. It seems they are abusing powers and degrading the public,” the vexed man can be heard showing officers he had nothing to hide.

Scenes reminiscent of dystopian novels from the middle of the 20th century provoked a stir.

One social media user said, “Shouldn’t the Police keep Social Distancing from each other!? Or Protection!? All of this circus started to remind me those Post-Apocalypse movies where Monarchies are established under the ground and nobody is allowed to go to the surface with the excuse that there is Aliens, Virus… Radiation, whatever… Until 1 escapes and figures out it was a lie.”

On Twitter, one user tweeted, “Police not social distancing and spreading the virus around. Enemy of the people in these times.”

“Cops in the group of 4 without masks or any protection. Should lock them up for breaking the rules and exposing the public,” added another.

A fourth wrote, “So the police kick in his door, don’t wear gloves or masks, stand too close to each other & then touch stuff in this place? Looks to me like the police are the problem in this instance.”

Campers at a remote location in Tasmania were asked to return home for flouting social distancing rules.

Shoppers in Scotland were fined approximately $38 for buying non-essential items such as potato chips and wine after officers trawled through their purchases to ensure their trip to the supermarket was justified.

Drones and excessive surveillance has been recorded, alarming several residents and social media users across the Western world.
